While the initial redesign will affect only these four denominations, officials have indicated that changes to all denominations will be implemented gradually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a letter dated September 29, the Ministry of Finance directed Bangladesh Bank to submit detailed design proposals for the new notes. The bank\u2019s Currency and Design Advisory Committee will be instrumental in reviewing and recommending these changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The letter emphasized the urgency, requesting that Bangladesh Bank promptly send the specific design proposals after the committee&#8217;s recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move to remove Sheikh Mujibur Rahman&#8217;s image marks a significant change from the previous policy under the Sheikh Hasina government, which prominently featured his image on various currency notes and coins.
