These include:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>Corruption:<\/strong> Police and judges are involved in corruption, such as taking bribes to release suspects from custody, falsifying evidence, and accepting bribes to influence court decisions.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>Torture:<\/strong>\u00a0Police officers have been accused of torturing suspects in custody, often to extract confessions.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>Extrajudicial killings:<\/strong>\u00a0There have been numerous reports of extrajudicial killings by police, often in the form of &#8220;crossfire&#8221; killings.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>Political bias:<\/strong>\u00a0Judges have been accused of being biased in their rulings, often favoring the ruling party or influential individuals.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>These illegal activities have a devastating impact on the rule of law and the lives of ordinary citizens in Bangladesh. They undermine trust in the police and judiciary, and they create a climate of fear and impunity.<\/h5>\n<h5>In recent years, there have been some efforts to address these problems. The Anti-Corruption Commission has been actively investigating corruption cases involving police and judges.
