The government and nongovernment officials have been accused of corruption. The donor agency said, positive response to these allegations could not be found adequate from the<br \/>\nGovernment of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n<p>3285 core Tk. embezzlement in Destiny Group:<br \/>\nDestiny group had transferred of 3285 core money from general people by<br \/>\nfinancial fraud and money laundering with the help of government&#8217;s supporters.<br \/>\nState agency Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) at the end of the investigation<br \/>\nseveral times accused Destiny group for huge amount of money laundering. ACC<br \/>\nsaid Destiny-2000 Limited authority collect 3285 crore 25 lakh 88 thousand 524<br \/>\ntaka in the name of Destiny tree plantation and Destining Multipurpose<br \/>\nCooperative Society. But their separate accounts 56 lakh and 4 cores 87 lakh taka<br \/>\nwas found. The rest of the money has been appropriated by money laundering.<\/p>\n<p>Looted from the banking sector:<br \/>\nAbout 30 thousand crores taka is looted from Sonali, Rupali, Agrani, Janata, Krishi<br \/>\nand non-Government 25 banks in 3 and half years until June 2009 to 2012. Worth<br \/>\nless than the value of exports and imports showed banks showed the nay money at<br \/>\nall. Some of the bank&#8217;s high profile officials are related with direct and indirect<br \/>\nsupport to loot huge amount of money from banks to remove by, which evidence<br \/>\nfound by Bangladesh Bank officials. The letter of credit opened by the bank in the<br \/>\nname of fake company&#8217;s huge amounts of money has been trafficked. The<br \/>\ninvestigation found by central bank, the establishment of corporate bonds in favor<br \/>\nof the customer in the branch without the approval of the board of managers of<br \/>\ncredit opened by fake way. Without any kind of collateral in non-funded credit<br \/>\n(deferred letter of credit and LC site) has been given the benefit.<\/p>\n<p>Bangladesh Bank Scandal:<br \/>\nIn February 2016, instructions to steal US$951 Million from Bangladesh Bank, the<br \/>\ncentral bank of Bangladesh, were issued via the SWIFT network. Five transactions<br \/>\nissued by hackers, worth $101 million and withdrawn from a Bangladesh Bank<br \/>\naccount at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, succeeded, with $20M traced to<br \/>\nSri Lanka (since recovered) and $81M to the Philippines. The Federal Reserve<br \/>\nBank of NY blocked the remaining 30 transactions, amounting to $850 million, at<br \/>\nthe request of Bangladesh Bank. The central bank officials involved in the theft,<br \/>\naccording to the Reserve Bank&#8217;s reserve fund committee formed to investigate the<br \/>\ntheft of the former governor Mohammed Forash Uddin. It is not only involved<br \/>\nSwift; Bangladesh Bank can not avoid responsibility.
