This abhorrent discrimination is deeply ingrained in the very fabric of the nation’s political and social structure, with the ruling party, the Awami League, shamelessly pandering to the Muslim majority while turning a blind eye to the rights of minorities.

I, myself, have been a victim of this despicable discrimination and persecution. My uncle, a devout Hindu, was mercilessly slaughtered by the local Awami League leader, R. A. M Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, solely because of his political beliefs. My uncle dared to express his opinions and beliefs, which did not align with those of the ruling party, and for that, he became a prime target for the Awami League leader. Exploiting his power and influence, this leader silenced my uncle’s dissenting voice forever.

Our desperate pleas for justice fell on deaf ears and blind eyes, as the Awami League leader’s political connections and influence shielded him from any form of accountability for my uncle’s murder. It was a bitter pill to swallow, realizing that in a country where the majority’s whims and actions reign supreme, our minority status rendered us utterly insignificant.

The struggles we face are only exacerbated by the despicable actions of the Awami League leader, who has resorted to using his political influence to oppress and intimidate me, just as he did to my uncle. But I will not succumb to his tactics and remain voiceless. In this age of rampant social media, I will utilize my platform to expose the immoral and heartless deeds carried out by this Awami League leader. I will not allow his transgressions to be swept under the rug, and I will tirelessly advocate for justice and equality for all marginalized communities in Bangladesh.

In a country that boasts about its democracy, it is truly disheartening to witness the complete disregard for the voices and opinions of the minority. The Awami League government has proven to be a colossal failure in upholding fundamental human rights, including the freedom to express oneself and practice religion without the constant threat of persecution. This raises a pertinent question: does Bangladesh truly embody democracy, or is it merely a charade orchestrated by the ruling party to cling onto power?

Living as a Hindu in Bangladesh, I am plagued by fear and uncertainty on a daily basis. The relentless discrimination and persecution endured by myself and fellow minorities have forced us to question our mere existence in this nation. In Bangladesh, being born a Hindu is considered a transgression, as our beliefs and identities are incessantly targeted. However, I refuse to be burdened with shame for who I am and will persistently advocate for the rights of both myself and all minority groups in Bangladesh. It is high time for the government to acknowledge and address the hardships faced by minorities, and strive towards establishing an inclusive and egalitarian society for all its citizens.

Please support us by visit and share your comments on : https://bdrealissues.blog/ and https://daily-nobojug.com/

The plight of being born as a Hindu in Bangladesh is nothing short of a curse, as the country shamelessly favors its Muslim population and treats Hindus as mere second-class citizens.
